Dr Tian Khoo

MD, FRACGP, B.Pharm, MPS, B.Med.Sci. MRCS(Ed)

Tian graduated from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

He has a special interest in complex chronic illnesses and incorporates medication reviews regularly whilst working with other healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic approach. His practice is also focused on medical emergencies, skin cancers and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Iftikhar Shahzad

MBBS, FRACGP

After completing his GP training in the United Kingdom, Iftikhar attained clinical experience in different specialities including mental health, children’s health, elderly care, medical emergencies and women’s health.

His medical interests lie in managing chronic diseases such as hypertension, asthma, obesity, depression and anxiety.

Dr Shahzad is fluent in Punjabi and Urdu.

Dr Jason Lau

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Lau is from Singapore and graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2007.

He completed his postgraduate training through Singhealth Family Medicine Residency thereafter being conferred the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and the Masters of Medicine (Family Medicine).

Dr Lau is experienced in managing complex chronic diseases. He is an ardent believer that good treatment outcomes result from close monitoring and review of symptoms towards recovery.

He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Nurul Chowdhury

MBBS, FRACGP

Nurul enjoys general practice in particular because it allows him to build long term professional relationships with families in his suburb, with an interest in mental health, child health and chronic disease management. He is dedicated to a long healthcare relationship with patients particularly in the spheres of family and community.

Dr Yu Yu Khine

MBBS

Upon graduating from the University of Medicine at Yangon in Burma, Dr Khine relocated to Melbourne in 2017. Since then she has worked to promote the healthcare and wellbeing of her patients at Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit, Werribee, Point Cook and Truganina.

Fluent in Mandarin and Burmese, Dr Khine provides a breadth of medical services particularly focusing on families with young children. For women requiring contraceptive medicines, she is also able to assist with Implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Marjan Rostamnejad

MD

Marjan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic Azad University in Tehran in 2010. She went on to complete her general practice training in Iran, overseeing the care of hospital patients with varying degrees of medical conditions and severity. She moved to Melbourne in 2018 to join our team at 755 Sayers Road Medical Centre.

Dr Rostamnejad particularly enjoys working with patients to achieve the best health outcomes possible and recognises the importance of long term patient relationships. Her areas of interest in general practice includes women’s health (implanon insertion and removal), antenatal care, mental health and chronic disease management.

Dr Rostamnejad is fluent in Persian.

Dr Papia Chowdhury

MBBS, FRACGP

Papia is dedicated in her therapeutic care for her patients and their needs while engaging in collaborative management of their medical problems.

She is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for her patients, particularly in today’s variety of challenges. Her areas of interests include women and family health, and chronic disease management and 755 Sayers Medical Centre provides her with the scope to do this.

Our team of qualified healthcare specialists at 755 Sayers Road Medical Centre offer an extensive range of medical services.

Audiology

Australian Hearing is available to assess patients with their hearing problems (such as deafness and ringing or tinnitus). They can also provide proper referrals for treatment and guide patients to adopt appropriate hearing aids. Part of their specialty is also to communicate any issues that may be related to more significant conditions such as strokes, multiple sclerosis and ear infections.

Dietitian

An experienced dietitian, Rehana Wahid is passionate about improving the physical health of her patients by promoting good dietary habits. She is a strong advocate of nutrition education supported by clinical research and evidence based practice. Rehana also has a keen interest in managing poor dietary habits in children and eating disorders (such as anorexia and bulimia) in adolescents. She accepts referrals from everywhere.

Physiotherapist

Aaron Paluoja is focused on patients with issues relating to muscle aches and joint pain (such as arthritis, fractures and neck/back pain). He has a keen interest in mobility complications from trauma or accidents. Aaron will guide his patients to achieve maximum function through individually tailored therapies. He has an extensive experience with cases involving TAC and WorkCover, and is happy to receive referrals everywhere.

Cardiologist

Dr Alexander Adel works closely with his patients to deliver a comprehensive and effective way of diagnosing and treating heart illnesses (such as heart attacks, heart failure and irregular heart rhythms). His areas of interest lie in non-invasive investigations such as blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography, stress testing, coronary CT angiography and other multi-modality cardiac imaging. He welcomes referrals from all medical practice clinics.

Pathology

Our onsite pathology lab aims to work closely with our doctors to help in blood and specimen collection. The lab is able to receive referrals from all clinics. Please call our reception for further information or to make an appointment.

Podiatrist

Katia Overmars and her team love working with adults and children to treat and prevent foot conditions. On top of routine care (such as diabetic feet care, ingrown toenails, calluses, warts and painful joints), they are able to provide advice on special treatment including arthritis, flat feet, bunions and poor circulation. Katia and her team are happy to accept referrals everywhere.
