What is MyMedicare?
It is a new program that strengthens the bond between patients and their doctors. By registering witn us, you get
– Longer phone appointments (over 20 minutes) with your GP at our clinic.
– The government is offering incentives for longer consultations and bulk billing for children, pensioners and concession card holders (at registered clinics).
– Greater continuity of care and improving health outcomes.
– You will be able to access some health benefits that are being rolled out to people with Medicare cards over the next few years

How to Register?
Simply register online or in person at the clinic.
Online process is through the MyGov or the Express Medicare mobile app.
– Sign in to MyGov and select Medicare
– Select ‘Register for MyMedicare’
– Select your preferred GP
– Submit your registration, then follow the prompts.
Fee Schedule Update
• Effective as of the 4th of November, our fee schedule has increased.
Medicare cards and concession cards must be presented before each consultation.
• A cancellation fee of $10 will also be applied if you:
– Fail to turn up to your appointment or
– Cancel your appointment within 2 hours of the scheduled consultation.
This cancellation fee needs to be paid prior to your appointment.
Transition to Mixed Billing
As of the 1st January 2023, our practice will be introducing mixed billing consultations
GP consultations will attract out of pocket fees depending on the type of service requested. Full payment is required on the day and can be made by debit/credit card.
Our practice will continue to bulk bill the following patient groups:
– Concession card holders, DVA Gold Card holders, Health Care Card and Pensioner Card holders.
– Patients under 16 years of age.
– Immunisations (e.g., childhood, influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations).
– Care plans and Mental Health Care plans.
Should you have any difficulty meeting the costs of your consultation, please discuss this with our staff before booking. We will arrange a plan that helps us provide our services to you.

Under the Australian Government Medicare Guideline, telephone appointments are only available to existing patients that have attended our practice for a face to face appointment in the last 12 months
